August Meeting

Filed under: Group News — Wordwrights @ 5:28 pm

We had our meeting last Thursday and as always we learn a lot from each other.

One of the discussions was about the importance of having sound bytes and videos to help promote your writing. There were varied opinions about this. We all agree that query letters have to be right on. Having a platform of some kind is important. An online presence is pretty much required these days.

Some of the members felt all of it is very necessary while others felt video and audio were just taking more time away from their writing time.

Does an author need to have videos posted to promote their writing? How about radio interviews or audio interviews online? How does one get these?

Writing is such a time consuming job, how much of that precious time should be put into promoting your writing?  What do you think?
