Nancy B. Schmitt

Nancy B. Schmitt’s background includes nine years as a journalist/photographer for a weekly newspaper and seven years of research, writing, editing, and supervising publication of two history books about Malvern, Pennsylvania: A Century in Malvern (1989) and Malvern Items: 1870-2006 (2006).  Her third book: Malvern Treasures: In the Company of Malvern Borough Women, was published in 2011. Nancy considered this book her legacy. Three poems and journal entries written after her husband’s death were chosen for a nationally published anthology, When a Lifemate Dies (Fairview Press, 1997).  The Malvern Books are available from the Malvern Historical Commission or the Malvern Borough Administration Office, 1 East First Avenue, Malvern PA 19355.  Other contacts are www.malvern.org and malvernhc@yahoo.com.
